Amazon Prime Day 2026 is live and as usual Amazon’s own brand devices have received a big discount.

There’s never a better time to upgrade or replace your old Kindle or Firestick than during Prime Day because you tend to see the biggest price drops all year, and that includes Black Friday.

For the World Cup this year, it’s even more imperative that a working Firestick is on your Amazon Wishlist, so that you can access all the games throughout each round. The 4K Plus Firestick currently on offer for £24.99, reduced from £59.99.

Following Amazon's recent announcement that it has stopped supporting Kindle models released in 2012 or earlier, it’s worth thinking about upgrading and saving on a new Kindle while you can.

The news affected customers who owned devices, such as the Kindle 1st Generation (2007) and Kindle DX (2009), that they can no longer purchase, borrow, or download additional books.

You can keep reading already downloaded titles, but if you haven’t done so already, when Prime Day launches on June 23rd there's savings to be made.

  • Save on Firesticks: Amazon UK | Amazon US
  • Save on Ring Doorbells: Amazon UK | Amazon US
  • Save on Echo: Amazon UK | Amazon US
  • Save on Kindle: Amazon UK | Amazon US

As well as Firesticks, the Ring Doorbell is another popular Amazon device that can keep your home safe. The security devices are already listed in the early Prime Day deal, with the device currently on 50% off already, reduced from £79.99 to £39.99.

How much will a Kindle be on prime day?

Prime Day has launched big discounts for its Amazon Kindle.

The newest gen Kindle Paperwhite is a hugely popular product that currently has 21 percent off it's original price.

Other Kindle editions that have been reduced include:

  • Standard Amazon Kindle reduced to £79.99, from £94.99
  • Amazon Kindle Colorsoft (newest gen), WAS £239.99, NOW £154.99
  • Amazon Kindle Kids (newest gen), WAS £114.99, NOW £84.99

When is Prime Day 2026?

Amazon Prime Day 2026 is live now running from 23-26 June, making it a four-day shopping event packed with discounts across all categories on the site, including tech, fashion, beauty, home, household essentials, gaming and much more.

This is an upgrade to the usual two-day event that’s been held in July in previous years.

Historically, Prime Day has been one of the best opportunities of the year to save money on everything from big-ticket tech purchases to bulk-buying everyday essentials, with millions of products included in the event.

Is Prime Day only for Prime members?

Prime Day is designed to be a members-only shopping event, meaning you’ll need to have an active Amazon Prime membership to unlock the discounts available during the sale.

There are a few additional perks that come with membership, too.

Both during and outside of sales events like Prime Day and Black Friday, Prime members often receive early access to selected Lightning Deals. This means you’ll be able to shop some offers up to 30 minutes before non-members.

Whether Lightning Deals are always worth rushing for is another question entirely, but getting first dibs on limited-stock products certainly doesn’t hurt.

If you’re not currently a member, you can sign up for Amazon Prime for £8.99 per month, or £95 per year. Amazon also offers a 30-day free trial to new customers, so if you haven’t been a Prime member before, the Amazon sale is a good time to try it.

You can sign up just before Prime Day, take advantage of the discounts, and then cancel it before the trial period ends if you decide that a Prime membership isn’t for you.

Of course, membership comes with more than just shopping perks, too, including access to Prime Video and Amazon Music Prime, plus a Deliveroo Plus Silver membership.
